It's almost become a certainty that I would come across more good news stories than those that are not so good when I'm writing about business debt collections and the like. The good stories have the propensity to exist, without question, but the stories that are not so good seem to outnumber them heavily. People will read these news stories and, as a result, they will levy quite a bit of disdain towards those who work in this particular industry. Not all collectors are terrible, though, and the good ones especially endure the unneeded brunt of assault.
People who have been the target of others working in business debt collections have filed complaints due to immoral business practices. If you don't know much about this line of work, I can assure you that what you'd read would be stunning. For instance, it's technically against the law for a collector to habitually contact a person until it bleeds into the area of harassment. Try as the laws might, though, collectors may continue to call debtors without any restraint and the fact that said debtors can be called during the early hours of morning makes strong companies such as R-R-S look horrible.
Debtors might very well be targets at times, but that should not count for the entire span since they can be quite as visceral as immoral collectors. I once came across a story where debt collectors gave their thoughts on the dangerous aspects of their work. For example, conducting business can result in collectors receiving threats from the people they needed money from. When death and bomb threats start to mount, no one should blame the workers in the industry to think negatively of their job positions.
The confessions, as far as debt collecting go, do not stop at that point either. It's been said that debtors are pushy, self-serving people who gain thrills out of yelling at people over the phone. This isn't the case, though, since collectors aren't about yelling at debtors over the phone and they only want to assist these people in order to straighten out their financial situation. A calm mindset can be beneficial, to say the least, so collectors aren't going to scare away the men and women they want to conduct business with. To say that debt collectors want to start a match of hysterics over the phone is a misconception.
These are only a couple of the many struggles that debt collectors have to endure on a daily basis and perhaps if there was better communication between them and the debtors, problems wouldn't be as prevalent. The communication between both groups seems to be as tangled as the vines in one's vegetable garden, since both groups mean well most of the time. Debtors do not desire such a title and they only want to clear their names. Likewise, collectors are not about ruining the lives of others and they only wish to direct people into the best solution imaginable.
